EFI je ipak sranje 😃

Ali je nakon instalacije boot bio problematičan…tuntu-boot se smestio na FAT32(!?) particiju od pola giga, koju moj EFI u vboxu nije pravilno prepoznavao.

Pošto me je mrzelo da žongliram sa radiEFI/ne radiEFI, ponovio sam live iso i instalaciju u EFI modu, odradio custom particionisanje sa smeštanjem gruba u MBR, isključio EFI i podigao instaliran Tuntu Mate u vboxu

naravno, sada imam(o) problem druge vrste…extremno me nerviraju sistemi veličine razglednice, pa se premišljam da li da mu dodam guest additions u vbox, ili da ga likvidiram…Mate u TRIOS-u je lepši za red veličine od ove Tuntu verzije 🙂

@Dragan Izvini, da pitam… Šta je onda kod mene problem? Mislim kod mene krene normalno instalacija, ali samo do onog dela kao na slici koju sam okačio… Da li je do ISO slike ili šta već?

Probaj pre instalacije da ručno formatiraš ciljnu particiju u GParted-u, pa da prilikom instalacije deštikliraš formatiranje. 🙂

probaj ili ovo što je Ćofi predložio, ili da ideš na custom particionisanje u instaleru

U oba slučaja, šta god izabrao, postavi jednu primarnu particiju za “/”, jednu za swap, i instalaciju gruba u MBR diska

Ručno sam i malopre particionisao, napravio “/” i “/home” particiju, a swap imam već konfigurisan od Debian-a, tako da njega koristim… Probaću ovo što @Ćofi kaže da formatiram “/” i “/home” particiju pre instalacije, a i ovo što kaže @Dragan da probam da instaliram Grub u MBR, pošto sam malopre pokušao u “/” particiju… pa javljam rezultate…😃

Uspela instalacija, formatirao sam particije pre pokretanja instalacije, kasnije odštiklirao da se formatira tokom instalacije… Takođe ovoga puta izabrao da se Grub instalira u MBR… Update i Upgrade nakon instalacije prošao ok… Svidja mi se kako su uradili Ubuntu look u Mate-u… Mate je isti kao na Debian-u, ne vidim neku razliku… Ima par bagova koje sam uočio za sada… Kada se boot-uje sistem, pokrene grub, kliknem da podigne UbuntuMATE, tu se slika zamrzne na 10-20 sekundi, tako što se vidi pola Grub-a na monitoru, a druga polovina crna, onda slika krene da se mrda levo desno i to opet traje 10-20 sekundi (kao nekada kada se televizija pratila preko antene, pa neko gore okreće antenu na krovu, a slika se na TV-u pomera), a zatim krene normalno da se boot-uje, pojavi se logo i sve ostalo… Takođe u dconf-editor-u nikako nisam mogao da premestim close i ostale tastere na levu stranu… po default-u stoji “menu:minimize,maximize,close” ja tu promenim da piše “close,minimize,maximize:menu” i ništa se ne dešava… opet ostaje na levoj strani… U Debianu sam na ovaj način promenio… Što se tiče potrošnje pri pokretanju troši negde oko 250mb…

Ne znam da li je ova tvoja izjava samo u smislu srozavanja Ubuntua, ali apsolutno nije istina ono što si rekao. Ne da nije nedorađeno, nego je fenomenalno odrađen posao.

Lično sam na live verziji instalirao compiz, takođe na flešu. Sve radi!

Treba instalirati compiz plugine koji su pomenuti u mate dokumentaciji i sve radi. Ključ je paket compiz-gnome. I pre nego se compiz uključi sa:

compiz --replace

treba u compizconfig-settings-manager uključiti potrebne plugine, pre svega one za upravljanje prozorima, gtk decoration etc…

Još jednom ponavljam sve radi. Kao na Ubuntuu 10.04.

Što se rasporeda dugmadi piše, pogledaj templejte kod podešavanja, ima napomena koje su kombinacije moguće.

@Cvetan U potpunosti se slažem sa tobom… Ni ja ne primećujem zbog čega bi se reklo da je nedovršeno… Sistem sasvim pristojno radi…😃

@close,minimize,maximize:menu Pročitao sam napomene sa linka koji je ostavljen u podešavanjima, ali jednostavno neće da primeni ono što sam napisao u “dconf-editor”-u…

EDIT: Posle čačkanja i čačkanja po “dconf-editor”-u, prebacio dugmiće na levu stranu…😃 Ostaje samo onaj problem prilikom podizanja da slika na nekoliko desetina sekundi poludi, pre nego što krene normalno da se podiže sistem… Da li se to još nekome dešava…?

Jesi instalirao možda vlasnički drajver za grafiku?

Moguće da je nešto oko kernel mode setting-a/promene moda… Šta kaze “dmesg” ( baci na pastebin, biće povelik ispis )? 🙂

Da, prebacivanje moda, tj. drajvera verovatno uzrokuje to što vidiš ( mada ne bi trebalo biti tako “šareno”, obično je samo promena rezolucije bez vidljivih “efekata” )…
Vidiš, prvo se koristi vesafb (*fb = framebuffer):
